Key areas of work include providing information, orientation, and legal assistance to individuals with international protection needs, such as obtaining refugee status and identity documentation.

Job Description
Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:
- Adhere to NRC’s policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines.
- Assist in implementing ICLA project activities according to the action plan.
- Independently implement procedures and activities within ICLA’s competency as delegated.
- Ensure proper filing of activity implementation documentation.
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement and necessary activity changes.
- Advocate for the rights of internally displaced persons, returnees, refugees, and asylum seekers in line with NRC’s advocacy strategy.
- Organize and execute tasks according to priorities and role standards.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of ICLA competencies in the operational area for effective assistance and support.
- Take initiative in resolving daily problems according to agreed procedures, priorities, and work area standards.
- Prepare and develop progress and activity reports as required by the Team Leader.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Implement information, orientation, and legal assistance activities for the target population in the southeastern border of Honduras, specifically in shelters and attention points in Danlí and Trojes.
- Actively participate in planning, execution, and monitoring of NRC activities locally, in coordination with Team Leaders, ICLA Coordinator, and other NRC competencies.
- Manage meetings with key local actors to implement strategic actions and/or refer cases.
- Identify, document, attend to, refer, and follow up on cases in coordination with other key actors.
- Provide inputs for designing legal strategies and ICLA activities to deliver updated, efficient, and timely services.
- Support training activities for public officials and other organizations.
- Enter information into Office 365, maintain the target population database, and ensure proper filing of documents.
- Properly apply and file data collection, evaluation, and systematization tools and verification means.
- Prepare monthly quantitative and narrative reports on activities performed.
- Support the effective achievement of project objectives and indicators as per the logical framework.
- Contribute to NRC’s strategic processes in coordination with the ICLA implementation and coordination team.
- Support administrative processes related to procurement and contracting for ICLA projects and activities according to NRC’s standard operating procedures.
- Represent NRC in relevant local institutional spaces for project implementation as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to fulfill the job’s objectives.

Qualifications
Professional Competencies:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in similar roles, preferably in the humanitarian field.
- Experience working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Documented results related to job responsibilities.
- Specific Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- University degree in Social Sciences (Law, International Relations, Social Work, or related fields).
- Knowledge of the operational and security context where NRC operates.
- Demonstrated experience in responding to mixed movement flows.
- Experience providing information, orientation, and legal assistance.
- Skills in interviewing individuals with protection needs.
- Ability to provide immediate responses to identified cases.
- Knowledge of the humanitarian context and social organization structures.
- Experience working with vulnerable groups and sensitivity to conflict.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and database management.
- Excellent written and spoken Spanish; English is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage information and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of national and international regulations related to human rights, forced displacement, international protection, and refugee status.
- Understanding of the state structure and public policy for assisting victims of violence/persons in need of international protection and the national protection system.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to resolve complex situations.
