Unit Overview
The EA Global Business Support Unit at Oxfam Novib supports effective and efficient operations for country teams. The Supply and Logistics team within this unit ensures efficient, sustainable, and accountable programs by supporting country teams, Oxfam partners, and the wider organization with standard tools, policies, procedures, training, strategic services, and technical expertise.
Job Description
The Supply and Logistics Specialist will work closely with logistics teams, country management, and colleagues from other functional teams to implement Oxfam policies, systems, and procedures. The role involves providing expert advice, capacity building in supply and logistics, and ensuring the application of best practices in procurement, fleet management, asset/equipment management, and stock management.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Advisory Support
- Provide technical support, advice, and training to field supply and logistics staff.
- Induct, train, and coach staff on Oxfam supply and logistics processes and tools.
- Work with country teams to apply best practices and plan for improvements.
- Provide technical input to the Oxfam Procurement System.
- Assist in audits, investigations, and loss prevention.
- Monitor compliance and performance in supply and logistics processes.
- Support recruitment and development of supply and logistics staff.
Process Leadership
- Develop and maintain common standards, procedures, and policies with other Oxfam affiliates.
- Contribute to the maintenance of shared resources and tools.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary and inter-affiliate projects.
- Implement system and process improvements in countries.
- Work with other functions to ensure consistency of tools, systems, and processes.
- Contribute to digital solutions in supply and logistics.
- Develop supply and logistics strategy and contribute to the organization’s operational strategy.
- Lead tender processes for multi-country procurement.
- Write concise reports and communicate details clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- University Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in an international organization.
- Experience in leading projects and training in supply and logistics.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to handle conflicting needs.
- Innovative, solutions-oriented, and able to work in a changing environment.
- High level of digital literacy and experience with digital solutions for supply chain.
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel abroad (up to 5 times a year).

Desirable
- Knowledge of other languages and a good sense of humor.
- Qualifications/experience in systems development.
- Professional certification in procurement, supply chain management, or logistics (e.g., CIPS, CHL, CHSCM, Bioforce, NEVI).
